Marci Jaffer – BUTI Yoga
Marci has been an athlete, fitness enthusiast, and lover of dance for most of her life. She discovered yoga in 2001 when she was searching for something restorative while training for marathons. Soon after, she began taking Vinyasa flow classes; she not only felt her body restoring and healing itself, but was also shocked to discover that yoga instilled in her an immense sense of focus that sparked her creativity and helped her to achieve the mind-body connection.
After years as a practicing student, Marci finally felt compelled to share the practice that changed her life with others. She received her RYTT 200 and her Advanced Buti Yoga certification. For Marci, Buti proved to be the perfect physical combination of yoga, dance, and cardio that she had been searching for, and she enjoys instilling her love of the practice in others.
As a high school English teacher, Marci also has an MFA in Creative Writing and an MA in English Literature, and finds the combination of yoga and writing/journaling to be healing and life-changing. She teachers others to journal and combine this with yoga as a means to identify one’s true self in order live the best life possible.
