Eric Gil

Born and raised in Miami, FL, Eric has lived out his passion for dance and the arts since he was just 10 years old. Starting out at Dance Empire in Miami, he was trained by Angel Fraser-Logan and Tawanna Hall-Carlton. He trained and educated in various dance styles and earned multiple national awards including, first place awards for best choreography, best overall, best studio, most artistic, and a third place best overall award at the famous JUMP Nationals in New York City. Then, after a short break to pursue acting, he attended the New World School of the Arts, where he received an education in modern dance and ballet along with two prestigious scholarships.

At the same time, he decided to pursue his passions on stage and in film, appearing in the film “Rock of Ages” (working with world-renowned choreographer, Mia Michaels), in Ricky Martin’s music video “Come With Me,” and as an on-stage performer for well-known choreographers like Jamar Roberts of Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater and Yoshito Sakaruba of Abarukas.

In 2016, Eric decided to delve into the world of ballroom dance, joining the Dance With Me Studios franchise – owned by Maks and Val Chmerkovskiy of Dancing With The Stars – as a dance instructor at the company’s Midtown NYC location.

Today, Eric is excited to share his experience and his passion for dance by opening up his own dance studio, EMG Dance Studios, in New Jersey. He looks forward to this new chapter in his life and hopes to build a dance family that he can take on a journey of love, strength, fun, creativity, and limitless possibilities.

“Let us dance on the magic carpet and begin the years of success.”
